To that beautiful girl, that walked on the street

heaven knelt down an whispered:

This girl that heard heavens voice first,

now heard, it seemed, thousand vocal tones -

like winds they were sweeping across every girls and woman's ear,

winds that seem to tell some thing

some thing that was true.


They seemed to say to every woman:

It was all around, this consciousness, now.

It was new.

The girl who heard heaven first talk to her,

understood that there was something going on.


It was the great awakening.
